Performance Coaching for Managers
Leading a team is no longer just about giving instructions and monitoring results. Your team members expect a manager who helps them grow, who unlocks their potential and who turns difficulties into opportunities to improve. This training gives you a new posture: that of the manager-coach. You learn to move from the expert who answers everything to the leader who asks the right questions, who empowers others and who consistently draws the best out of everyone.
The approach is firmly practical and field-oriented. You start with the fundamentals of managerial coaching — active listening, powerful questioning, feedback that drives progress — then put them into practice right away on your own situations: a demotivated team member, a talent to develop, an ambitious goal to meet, a conflict to defuse. Through role-playing scenarios, filmed role-plays and case studies drawn from the reality of Tunisian and international companies, you build lasting reflexes, not just appealing ideas.
By the end of the program, you no longer manage the same way. You know how to conduct a performance review that motivates instead of creating tension, set clear and measurable goals, lead one-on-ones that make a difference and guide each member of your team toward their best level. You leave with a ready-to-use toolkit and a personal action plan — and, above all, with a team that is more autonomous, more engaged and more high-performing. Because your role as a manager is not to carry the team: it is to enable it to surpass itself.
What you leave with
A training designed to deliver concrete results by Monday morning:
A manager-coach toolkit — interview grids, feedback templates, powerful questions and models (GROW, SMART, DESC) ready to use with your teams.
Your personal action plan — a managerial development plan built on your real situations, with concrete and measurable commitments.
A transformed posture — the confidence to lead interviews, feedback and one-on-ones that motivate, refocus and help people grow.
A BSF certificate — recognition of your new manager-coach skills to enhance your professional profile.
Program — 12 sessions of 1 hour
A progressive program that transforms your posture as a manager: first adopt the coach's mindset and tools, then apply them to the key situations of performance — setting goals, giving feedback, motivating, supporting — and finally establish a lasting performance culture within your team.
Module 1 — The manager-coach posture (sessions 1-3)
1. From manager-expert to manager-coach — understanding management styles, when to lead and when to support, and the posture that empowers instead of carrying everything yourself.
2. Active listening & presence — truly hearing your team member: rephrasing, silence, non-verbal language and building trust.
3. Powerful questioning — the art of asking the right questions to prompt reflection, open up options and lead the other person to find their own solutions.
Module 2 — Managing individual performance (sessions 4-7)
4. Setting goals that engage — the SMART method, clear and measurable expectations, and the art of aligning individual goals with those of the team.
5. The coaching session: the GROW model — structuring a coaching session from start to finish: goal, reality, options, action plan and commitment.
6. Feedback that helps people grow — giving constructive feedback and refocusing that motivates without hurting, using the DESC method and feed-forward.
7. Succeeding at the performance review — preparing and conducting the annual or evaluation review so that it becomes a genuine moment of progress.
Module 3 — Motivating, upskilling, defusing (sessions 8-10)
8. Understanding and reviving motivation — individual levers, signs of demotivation, and how to restore meaning and energy to a team member.
9. Delegating & developing skills — adapting your support to the level of autonomy, delegating with confidence and growing your talents.
10. Managing difficult situations — defusing a conflict, refocusing a behavior and supporting an underperforming team member.
Module 4 — Establishing a performance culture (sessions 11-12)
11. Team coaching & regular one-on-ones — establishing rituals (one-on-ones, team meetings) that sustain engagement and collective performance over time.
12. Your managerial development plan — bringing together your tools, building your personal action plan and lastingly embedding the manager-coach posture.
