Data Analytics for Decision-Makers
You lead a team, a department, or a company, and every day you make decisions that shape the future. You sense that your data — sales, customers, inventory, cash flow, performance — holds the answers, but it remains scattered, unreadable, or locked away in spreadsheets that no one truly uses. This program is made for you: not to turn you into an analyst or a programmer, but to make you a decision-maker who knows how to make data speak and turn uncertainty into informed choices.
The approach is firmly decision-driven. You first learn to ask the right question before looking for the data, then to tell a reliable figure from a misleading one. You discover how to read a dashboard, choose the right indicators (KPIs), spot a trend, an anomaly, or a weak signal, and above all how to avoid the classic traps that lead to bad decisions backed by "good" statistics. You also get an introduction to AI-augmented analytics: querying your data in natural language, getting summaries and visualizations in just a few minutes, with no complex formula or code.
By the end of the program, you no longer endure your figures: you steer them. You know how to build a dashboard that genuinely serves your decisions, challenge a report presented to you, frame a recommendation grounded in facts, and instill a data culture in your teams. Every session is rooted in concrete cases drawn from the reality of Tunisian and international organizations, so you walk away with reflexes you can apply to your business right away.
What you walk away with
A program built for action that makes you self-reliant from day one:
Your decision-making dashboard — a dashboard template tailored to your business, with the KPIs that truly matter to you.
An anti-trap analysis framework — to challenge any figure or report presented to you.
Your data queried by AI — the method to get analyses and charts in natural language, with no coding.
A data action plan — the first steps to instill a culture of data-driven decision-making in your team.
Program — 10 sessions of 1 hour
A path designed for the decision-maker, not the analyst. We start from the decision and the right question, then learn to read, validate, and visualize data, to augment it with AI, and finally to turn it into a true lever for steering and corporate culture.
Module 1 — Deciding with data: the fundamentals (sessions 1-3)
1. From decision to data — why steer by facts; asking the right business question before looking for the figure; the questions that move a decision forward.
2. The landscape of your data — where your data lives (sales, customers, inventory, finance, ERP, CRM, spreadsheets); structured and unstructured data; the quality and reliability of a source.
3. The essential vocabulary of the decision-maker — KPI, metric, dimension, mean and median, correlation and causation: understanding the words to challenge analyses.
Module 2 — Read, validate, and visualize (sessions 4-6)
4. Choosing the right indicators (KPIs) — defining indicators aligned with your goals; outcome KPIs and leading indicators; avoiding drowning in useless figures.
5. Reading a chart without getting tricked — which visual for which question; spotting a trend, an anomaly, a weak signal; misleading charts and how to expose them.
6. The traps of analysis — selection bias, false ratios, seasonality effects, flattering statistics: the framework to challenge any report presented to you.
Module 3 — AI-augmented analytics (sessions 7-8)
7. Querying your data in natural language — asking your data a question and getting analysis, summary, and chart in just a few minutes, with no formula or code, using AI tools.
8. Trusting AI… with discernment — verifying an answer, spotting an error or a hallucination, keeping the decision in your hands; data confidentiality and proper use.
Module 4 — Steering and spreading the data culture (sessions 9-10)
9. Building your decision-making dashboard — assembling your key KPIs into a clear dashboard, readable at a glance, that genuinely serves your daily decisions.
10. Decide, recommend, spread — turning an analysis into a recommendation grounded in facts; instilling the data culture in your teams; your data action plan.
